Youth Dialogue on Adaptation Action

In September 2022, ahead of COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh, the Global Center on Adaptation organised the Youth Dialogue on Adaptation Action: Delivering on the Glasgow Climate Pact. This hybrid Youth Dialogue brought together young people and global leaders to accelerate adaptation action and ensured youth’s perspectives and solutions are promoted to deliver on the Glasgow Climate Pact and the adaptation agenda.

We were invited by the Global Center on Adaptation to share our experiences with climate resilient housing during this two-day event. On the first day, our team members Willa and Niels presented Easy Housing at the adaptation fare, showing how our sustainable housing solution provides benefits for both climate change mitigation and adaptation. On the second day, our COO Niels van den Berge participated in the high-level panel on leveraging local employment through adaptation, elaborating on how we create local jobs with our housing projects. In addition, we had the honour to meet two of the most inspiring leaders in this world: former UN secretary-general Ban Ki-Moon and UN deputy secretary-general Amina Mohammed.
